The price of used high megapixel DSLRs cameras has fallen in the last few years as mirrorless models become much more popular. I ummed and ahhed for a few weeks about getting a wodge of these unwanted pixels, before buying a decades old office overhead projector for £30 instead. (And a tenner of that was the postage.)
It's late December and what little natural light there is that finds its way into my house is barely enough to form an image on it, but it just about works as a camera, while looking like a home-made fusion reactor... which it sort of will be.
