Asia Piecyk: Trees

I got in touch with Asia Piecyk after seeing her photographs on a portfolio day at the Photographer's Gallery a while back, and asked her about buying a couple of prints. I think she ended up sending me pretty much everything she'd had on show there. It was a ' wow ' moment opening the envelope after getting home from work that day, I'm really super-pleased with them. And finally they're on my wall (well the first four, anyway). Even though I detour that way myself sometimes I'm not that into black and white or a digital intervention practice per se, but sometimes you have to concede on those points when it's done as well as this. The aesthetic decision-making is well judged but it seems to be the intimate folding together of analog and digital in such a  balanced and elegant way that makes the images particularly rewarding.
