It seemed to take forever. Twice. It took forever to get started, and then I finally managed the getting started. And after the getting started, I was actually doing it. It seemed to take forever all over again, doing the doing it. Two things. Two forevers is what it took to make a book. Not counting the 11 months writing it. The first forever was due to anxious over-thinking of the first order. The second forever, a protracted DTP feat of endurance. But as of yesterday evening a print run of one copy is underway, final destination Dragonfly Place, SE4, home of MACK publishing, and the panel of five judges for the 2021 First Book Award.
